Help the Pit Droid with its Stuck Ship in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Anyone who loves the Metroidvania style of backtracking surely loves Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. If you’ve just landed on Koboh and spent your time trying to force-pull that sunken ship out of the tar, then you’re not alone.

We all have been there. And Bethesda, I mean, Respawn loves a good ability gate, and this Pit Droid is the ultimate bait. 

Don’t mistake the Pit Droid for just another NPC in the game; he is a permanent upgrade to your base and stats. Here’s how you can help him out.

The Gate Here’s Why You Have to Wait

You will encounter the Pit Droid in Chapter 2, at the Gorge Crash Site. He seems stressed as his ship is stuck in the tar. However, Cal Kestis hasn’t spent enough time in the Force Gym yet.

You will need the Lift and Slam ability for this. And to unlock the ability, you will have to wait till chapter 4 during the massive Lucrehulk mission on the Shattered Moon/Koboh return. 

When you learn how to lift things and slam them down, you will be ready to help Pit Droid.

Lift and Slam 

When you’ve learned the Lift and Slam ability, just head back to the Gorge Crash Site meditation point. 

To locate the Ship, you need to head back to the tar pit where the droid is pacing.

Once you reach the location, target the submerged ship and use the Force Lift command (R1 + Triangle on PS5 / RB + Y on Xbox).

Lifting the ship doesn’t just help the droid; it also reveals a Force Essence crystal. Collecting this provides a permanent boost to your Max Force meter along with the recruitment of the Pit Droid.

The Recruitment

After you’ve pulled the ship from Tar, talk to the Pit Droid. There’s not much dialogue from the droid, but you will notice he is very grateful for the help. 

Now the Pit Droid will be officially recruited to Rambler’s Reach Outpost. 

To find him, head to the Mantis landing pad. You will find him busy working on the ship or hanging around the dock. 

As you head towards the story of the game, make sure to take out sometime and explore it, as well as help and recruit other characters.
