Mortal Kombat 1 expansion “Khaos Reigns” just got a new gameplay release trailer for the game. Developed by NetherRealms, and published by Warner Bros. Games, players will witness female character Sektor, who was previously perceived as a male android, and now has the ability to hover and turn into a rhino to unleash her finishing move.
The expansion for Mortal Kombat 1 A new gameplay trailer for the game “Khaos Reigns” has just been released. Players will encounter the female character Sektor in this NetherRealms-developed game, which is distributed by Warner Bros. Games. Previously thought to be a male android, Sektor can now hover and transform into a rhino to unleash her finishing move.
The DLC will release on September 24.
History of Sektor in Mortal Kombat 1
In 1995, Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke were introduced in Mortal Kombat 3 as part of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins. They were cyberized as part of the Cyber Initiative, with Sektor becoming the first to be cyberized.
Eventually, Sektor killed his father and took control of the Lin Kuei. Cyrax, one of the first Lin Kuei to be cyberized, had reservations about the Cyber Initiative and was often forced to be cyberized into a yellow cyborg. Once cyberized, Cyrax was sent to hunt down runaway Lin Kuei, such as Kuai Liang Sub-Zero.
Sektor was known as “Master Armorer of the Lin Kuei”, Comicbook.com shared the lore, which says “Her mother was a leading warrior, her father was its Master Armorer. Sektor marveled at his flawless work. Apprenticing with him, she eventually surpassed her father’s skills. When he retired, she took his place.
But Sektor also wanted to honor her mother’s legacy. Now her vast knowledge of weaponry and her formidable martial skills make Sektor a kombatant like no other. Sensing Sektor was a kindred spirit, Sub-Zero shared with her his grand vision for the Lin Kuei’s future. She joined his efforts immediately. Now Sub-Zero’s most trusted lieutenant, Sektor will force the Lin Kuei to evolve. Those who cannot change will be eliminated.”
In the trailer we can see Sektor showing off her skills slashing enemies with unique weapons, such as flamethrowers and missile launchers.
