iOS 16.1 is On The Way To The Rescue

iOS 16.1 is coming to the rescue. For iPhone users who have been facing low battery backup, lags, and other bugs, iOS 16.1 is coming to the rescue, hopefully!

After the iOS 16 update, many users have been facing constant crashes, lags and most importantly, low battery backup on their iPhones.

Primarily iPhone 12, SE 2nd Gen and even many iPhone 13 users have reported various issues after they’ve updated their devices to the latest version of iOS.

Shocking no one, these are very much expected issues, especially after a major OS update. Hopefully, iOS 16.1 should fix these for most phones. You can expect it to arrive by the 24th of October.

Here’s the changelog
  • Apple has tweaked the battery indicator, which means it will show a dynamic battery percentage once users switch it on.

  • Post update you will be able to delete the Apple wallet app, for the first time ever. For users out there who don’t use Apple Pay, Apple card and Apple cash, now you can finally get rid of the Apple Wallet app.

  • Apple has introduced Live activities, which means you will be able to stay updated in real-time with all the activities happening around, that too from your lock screen.

  • New Live activities API: with this new API, you will be able to track all your activities from across third-party apps, let it be a sports game, or your recent order.

  • Introducing iCloud shared photo library: Now add up to 6 users, to collaborate, contribute and enjoy together. Let it be existing photos or the ones which you choose based on a start date.

  • With the new Matter support, all of your home devices will work together seamlessly across all platforms.

  • Apple’s Clean energy charging will help decrease carbon footprints by optimizing your charging times.

Along with these changes, there are of course necessary optimizations for iPhones and bug fixes.
