Upcoming Nokia Phones might run on their own Revamped Android

HMD Global, Nokia’s parent company is hiring a User Experience Designer. It could mean that the firm is aiming to develop its own revamped Android, or it could also modify the Stock ROM with some features of its own. Currently, Nokia phones run on Stock Android, which falls under the Android One program.

HMD is popularly known for devices with Clean Stock ROMS, which are also part of the Android One program. Android One guarantees two major OS updates and up to three years of security updates. The job description in LinkedIn states, that the UX/UI designer be responsible for user interface elements like menus, tabs, and widgets.

The firm didn’t mention any specific details, which means it might also end up customizing its own first-party apps. However, most of the smartphone manufacturers have their own bloated version of Android. A clean and clutter-free Android experience is what differs Nokia from other firms.
