We assume you’re aware of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s new venture, that just recently acquired Andy Rubin’s Essential brand. Carl Pei’s new firm is expected to launch smart devices by 2022, while details of its upcoming devices are yet to be revealed by the firm. The firm just recently announced that it will actually allow the general public to invest in it. The firm plans on doing this by allowing its community to invest $1.5 million at the same valuation like that of its Series A funding.

The company will also elect an individual as a community board member, who will be the voice of the community, for its board meetings. “We want our community to be part of our journey from the very start and play an active role in it.
