
According to a report from XDA, popular firm Reliance Jio is planning to launch a budget Android Laptop real soon. Reliance Jio is a telecommunications company and a subsidiary of Jio Platforms. The laptop will be referred to as the JioBook, and it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip.
Talking about the processor, the laptop will support 4G LTE connectivity, thanks to the Snapdragon X12 modem. The device has Adreno 610 as its GPU, and it also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. You can refer to the early JioBook prototypes, which are the production of a Chinese firm, known as Bluebank. The device also reportedly featured 4GB of RAM. It also had 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage.
The firm is also reportedly developing its own custom Operating System, named Jio OS, for the upcoming Android laptop. While XDA was surveying the OS, they didn’t find any Google applications in the OS, however, it does have its own Jio apps, and Microsoft apps. We are still not sure if it will actually have any google application or not. The laptop will probably Debut in May 2021.
