Instagram is eliminating the swipe-up links feature very soon. A swipe-up link is a feature that allows content creators and businesses to add a URL redirect to their uploaded stories which redirect users to a specific link once they swipe up. New link stickers will reportedly replace the traditional swipe-up feature, as stated by TechCrunch.

And just as you’d expect, the new Link stickers have many advantages over the traditional swipe-up. Users can resize the new stickers, place them anywhere just like usual stickers, and there’s a variety of styles to choose from. Most importantly, users can now reply to the stories which have the new Link stickers.

Initially, Instagram was testing out this feature with a tight circle of few select people, now they plan to bring it out for everyone starting August 30. Popular App researcher Jane Manchun Wong first spotted the upcoming change and she took it to Twitter to announce it.
