Google Assistant is a widely used virtual assistant, primarily used by android users over the Globe. You can set alarms, reminders, make a call, and play music just with your voice. But, traditionally it is only possible after the user unlocks the device.

Google Assistant just got better, as now it can work while your phone’s locked, or if it’s in your pocket. But in order to use it, some settings need to be updated.
How to Enable Hands-free Google Assistant?
Assuming that you’ve set up voice match, here are the steps that you need to follow to use google Assistant without unlocking your phone.
Open Google Assistant on your phone, click on the snapshot button on the left.
Now tap on your picture in the upper right side.
Search for personalization option on your popular settings section. ( turn on the option if it’s turned off by default )
Down below you’ll get lock screen personal results, enable the option.
And that’s it, not much of a rocket science right?
After you’ve enabled these settings, you should be able to use your Google Assistant to make calls, access calendar events, and messages while your phone’s locked, or if it’s in your pocket. But, not to forget, Google Assistant still can’t be blindly trusted, as there are chances of your phone might accept commands from others.
