Fix Google Play Services has stopped error: The Ultimate Guide

Android phone users are very much familiar with an error, that’s related to Google Play services. Sometimes a notification pops up as “Google Play Services has stopped”. You are most likely to face this if you’ve initiated a factory reset, or flashed a new ROM, or simply because of the data stored by the application. The first one is an universal solution, which even works with smart TVs and basically everything that has Google Play Services in it.

  • Open the app settings, and clear the data of google Play Services.

Now, what if the issue is because of a Custom Rom that you’ve flashed previously? Here’s how you can fix it.

  • Reboot to recovery>clear dalvik and cache>reboot.

If the issue still persists, check whether the Gapps (Google Apps) package that you’ve flashed matches your processor’s architecture or not?

Also, you need to download a specific Gapps package for a specific version of ROM/Android.
