Yoav Arnstein, Director of Facebook App Monetization said in a blog post – “In the coming weeks, we’ll begin testing the ability for content creators to monetize their Facebook Stories with ads that look like stickers and receive a portion of the resulting revenue. While the initial test is small, we hope to soon expand to more content creators. And then broaden it to short-form videos on Facebook, eventually providing a way for content creators to monetize this popular content.”

Other than this, now Facebook will show ads, even in videos that are of 1 minute, or more in length. The sole purpose of this change is to bring back its long lost creators. But, its not that smooth like how it sounds. To be eligible creators must have at least 600,000 mins views in past 30 days from video. Other than this, creators must also have at least five active and uploaded videos before confirming the application.

The firm also confirmed that it will now support in-stream ads in live video sessions. This change will show too many ads, but it will surely bring back its creators, so you can expect more rich content, more than ever!
