Sending iMessage to get Contact Poster

  • On your Message app, tap on the compose button in the top right corner. 
  • In the To: section, enter the name or number whose Poster is not showing. 
  • Send an iMessage with anything you want. 
  • Now, after a few seconds you’ll see the profile picture of the contact update automatically.
  • However, if you don’t see any update, press the Update button on top of the chat to update the latest contact poster. 
  • To check whether you contact has shared their profile poster with you, you can just tap on their name in iMessage.
  • Now, tap on Info button to see the latest poster and you’ll be able to see the Shared by <contact name> tag. 

Edit the Poster and check it

  • Launch your Contacts app, and open the contact info of the individual.
  • Tap on Edit button and then tap on the Edit button again below the poster. 
  • Now, tap on the Contact Poster and tap on Done at the top-right corner and tap on Done again.

Ensure if the Show My Caller ID is enabled

  • Launch your Settings > scroll down > Phone app settings
  • Tap on Show My Caller ID option to check whether the option is On or not.
  • If it is not, just turn On the option to fix the problem.
