How to Complete The Ballad of Rikky Rex Side Quest Dead Island 2?
In Dead Island 2, you’ll meet an NPC who is another survivor called Ricky Rex. Ricky Rex will provide you with a side quest called The Ballad of Rikky Rex. To start up the quest, you’ll have to do a couple of things to complete it.
To complete the side quest, you’ll have to head uphill to Rikky’s house. The house is along the main road that leads south from Jessie’s House and east across the road from the construction site. After successfully entering the house and clearing your way of zombies, You’ll have to go through to the gate to the back of the house until you see a pool. Heading through the kitchen you’ll see a door locked by a metal screen.
Break the Band
In the rear end of the house, you’ll see a stage and on that stage, you’ll find a DJ Deck. Interact with it to draw out Misha and other hordes of zombies. You’ll need to kill several number of waves of zombies having Walkers, Shamblers, A Walker named The Bass Player, A runner named The Guitarist, A Crusher named The Drummer, and A Screamer named Misha The Singer.
After successfully killing the zombies and other Band members, you’ll need to head over to the area where you killed Misha and take Rickky’s Kitchen Key. This key will let you back in the house by opening the locked door behind the kitchen.
You can loot the room and locate the stairs with a piano nearby to go upstairs. In the room, you’ll find a Disaster Relief Crate having Alternate weapons. Before heading upstairs, clear out the three Walkers and a Buster in front of you. Another pair of Runner and Busters will meet you at the top.
Get the Rikky’s Chopper
After reaching the top, you’ll find that all the doors are locked. So, you’ll have to head to the left of the stairs to find a small recording room. Break the window and go out to the balcony and walk towards the open doorway to see another locked room.
Exit onto a second balcony. You’ll have to deal with a Buster there and enter the next room that you come across to reach Rikky’s room. You’ll have to kill the Walkers and look for a walk-in wardrobe to find a lockbox that will require Bouncer’s Key and a handsome guitar on a shelf which happens to be the Chopper.
Interact with it and grab the guitar and escape the house. Several Walkers and A Runner will charge at you. Kill them first and escape successfully.
Head back to Jessie’s house and hand over the Chopper to Rikky to complete the quest.
